Woman Working Thoughtfully

Schools and GP's

Schools

Schools are working incredibly hard to support children with increasingly complex emotional and behavioural needs, often with limited time and resources. I can work alongside your staff and pupils, helping children understand their emotions, recognise what lies behind their behaviour and develop practical strategies to manage difficult situations more positively. I offer one to one sessions for children who struggle with emotions such as Anger, Anxiety or challenging behaviours. I also run workshops for groups or classes to promote emotional understanding and regulation, self confidence and social skills. My aim is simple: to give children and the adults supporting them practical tools that can make everyday school life calmer, happier and more manageable.

GP's

Not every child or young person struggling with their emotions or behaviour needs a clinical intervention, but they may still need support. GPs can refer children and teenagers to me for one-to-one help with difficulties such as anxiety, anger, emotional regulation, confidence and challenging behaviour. I work with both neurotypical and neurodivergent young people, helping them understand what they are feeling, recognise what may be driving their behaviour and develop practical strategies to manage everyday situations more positively. I also support parents alongside this work, helping them understand and reinforce the strategies their child is learning.
